About Campbelltown Meals on Wheels
About Us
  Located in the old Library on the Campbelltown Council grounds, Campbelltown Meals on Wheels has been serving the local community since 1972.  Starting out with ___ staff, __ Volunteers and being supported with meals from the Campbelltown Hospital, we have grown to 5 staff members, over 55 volunteers and a large menu with a variety of tasty meals from a range of providers.   With an output average of 750 - 800 meals per week and over 55 volunteers, Campbelltown Meals on Wheels is continuing to support the aged and peoples with disabilities by helping them to remain in their homes with the services we provide. 

  From Meals to Home Shopping and Library, our services enable our clients to keep their independence while bringing peace of mind to family members, knowing their loved ones are being looked after as often as needed with the service the request.  Our friendly volunteers are trained in food safety and always deliver your meals or shopping with a warm smile and a friendly chat.

Our Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Campbelltown Meals on Wheels is to provide a Food, Shopping, Library Service to maintain frail aged and people with disabilities, who are at risk of premature or inappropiate institutionalization, in their own homes.

PHILOSOPHY
Campbelltown Meals on Wheels believe in;
   - The right of people to make choices in their own lives;
   - The right of people to dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality;
   - The right of people to be valued as individuals;
   - The right of people to accesss services on a non-discriminatory basis;
   - The right of the community to accountable and responsive service.

OUTCOMES
The outcomes pursued by the Campbelltown Meals on Wheels are;
   - That people who are frail aged or disabled can remain in their own homes;
   - That family and other primary caregivers are supported in their role;
   - That the agency operates in an effective, efficient and accountable manner

Role of the Management Committee
The management committee is responsible for managing the affairs of our organisation according to the Act, Regulation, Rules and any other relevant laws.
 
The Management Committee is responsible for making sure the organisation operates within its approved budget and in line with the policies and procedures set down by the Committee.
